Too many officers

After reading the many responses to the questions that "The Peasant" asked about basic training, I am growing increasingly sick of the CF's always trying to convince university students into taking the officer route.

For many units in the Primary Reserve there is an overabundance of "surplus" officers who command only shadow platoons and paper companies.

If you are interested in military training, adventure, and making some of the best friends you will ever have, the Forces can provide you with that (along with some unheard of levels of head shaking frustration also).

I just wish that recruiters would put more emphasis pursuing the NCM/enlisted route rather than preaching ROTP/RESO to high school and university students.
