We'd had warning as to what was to come out of the
investigation into the allegations and recriminations
surrounding WO Stopford's illness so I wasn't terribly
surprised when I heard what is alleged to have happened,
that some of his soldiers may have deliberately poisoned
him, and had admitted as much.

It leaves me though with a real feeling of unease to
think that this could have occurred. I understand
WO Stopford still thinks that his illnesses are caused
by contaminated soil.

In any case the feeling was that no charges could be laid
because the Statute of Limitations had run out in this
case.

What are your thoughts?
