Well I do believe that the soldier hasn't been laid to rest in the Tomb yet. Haven't seen any footage to back up the claim that it was an "American" truck that pulled the gun carriage so can't really comment on it other than to ask, "Really? Had a big US star painted on it and all??" Or was it, perhaps, a Canadian vehicle that had been designed in another country? If this is the case you'd be hard pressed to find a suitable vehicle in your mind since the Iltis, LSVW, MLVW and HLVW were all designed in other countries (Germany, Italy, US and Austria).

As for a RCMP escort, it would be appropriate considering that the RCMP provided most of the personnel for the Provost Corps during WW1 and WW2. The Unknown could very well be one of theirs.
