American truck indeed. Perhaps it was designed in the USA but the spec plate in the vehicle states that it was built in 1952 in Windor Ontario. If you wish to verify this, I invite you to visit the Swords and Ploughshares museum in Kars, Ontario. The 3/4 ton truck is part of the museum's inventory. It is also on loan to 2 RCHA for events of historic and traditional significance.

Oddly enough I was involved in a military funeral where the gun and limber were towed by a LSVW. No one complained about where the truck was built or the noise it made. The focus was on remembering the person who had died.
