I know in the us you can get Airborne and Ranger school in you contract, so would it be possible to get CSOR selection in your contract?

God damnit Canada, you've failed me again….

No, CANSOF has high selection standards and wants you to prove you can do your basic job before they waste a lot of money to run you through SF Op Selection.

The fact that you equated Airborne and Ranger courses to SF Op selection shows you know next to nothing about what CSOR or CANSOF does, and should really just worry about getting into the CAF first, not about what sort of "elite" training you think you're entitled to.

No, you must serve a couple years before you can try out for CSOR.

Also, the US Army has no such contract that allows a person a shot at Ranger school. The contract is a shot at RASP - selection and skills training for the 75th Ranger Regiment.

Also, Ranger school is not a SOF course or related to the Ranger Regiment aside from Regiment requires its leadership to be tabbed. Ranger school is a leadership course that is open to a majority of US Army pers, as well as some USAF, Marines, Navy and non US military.
