I take it from your reply that you are an officer and I guess in your response you proved my point.

You refer to the 5oo or so recruits that you "trained". Exacly how much of their training did you do? I mean in terms of lectures taught, assesments written, and one-on-one interaction, how much did you train those recruits? Didn't the NCOs really train them under your direction? When some asks "Who trained you?" or "Who taught your course?" tey aren't refering to the crse officer they are referring tot he NCOS, the section commanders and secrion 2i/cs.

If you don't believe me why don't you try asking some of the NCOs you know and see if they don't agree with me. From an NCO instructing on a course the officer in charge makes a world of difference but to a recruit it matters not, unless they are pretty far along the counselling system or if they are a special administrative case.

I'm sorry if I seem to be officer bashing, maybe I am, but it seems that the quality, in all aspects, of officers has been diminishing over the years. From my, and many of my fellow NCOs, point of view they seem to be trying to do our jobs more and more, even though they havn't been trained to do so.

Anyway enough for now, please feel free to diprove me.
