Have you ever taken a good look at the Bandsmen that represent the Canadian Forces as part of the Ceremonial Guard? Fat, unprofessional, arrogant, militarily useless not to mention scornful of the army in general (they are "artists" after all). Do you really want people like that to represent you and the other real soldiers in the Army? I sure as hell don't. Why can't we recruit bands from the ranks like other Armies? The British Army does it quit succesfully. The Bandmens actually have "real" jobs within the army and music comes second.
