SPOT X - Any Advice?

I've got a Gen 1 SPOT but am thinking of doing the responsible thing, for a change, and upgrading to the SPOT X. I do a fair bit of remote back-country, self-propelled, travel year round, oftens alone, so rely on this as a life saver as required.

I know that In Reach have a good product too, and there are others.

Any advice from those who know more about these kinds of things than I do (which would be lots of people) ?

I use ZOLEO by Iridium.  You have the emergency and check-in buttons on the device but you can text thru your phone.

Thanks for the tip. I haven't heard of that one before.
