Living Off Base in Victoria after BMOQ

Is it common that people are able to live off base? Is there a process? In my current situation, I would be moving in with my Girlfriend. Since we are there for at least a year, is this something that is usually approved?

Thanks

If you have access to DWAN, you can search for something like this:

Mr JoC,

I think you are getting a tad bit too far ahead of yourself here.

Position Offered: March 19 2015
Sworn in: March 30 2015
BMOQ: June 1 2015

As a possible future officer in the CAF and one day a leader, don't let the little one, do the thinking and planning for the big one!  I don't think anyone here, is going to disagree with this, to much extent.

Agree, sir.

Mostly asking on behalf of the Girlfriend in Question ;)

Thanks to everyone for the links and advice.

Don't get your hopes up or anything because things change all the time but when I was at VENTURE a few years ago you were permitted to live off base during MARS training.  Even if you do have to live on base the accommodations at VENTURE are some of the best that I've had the pleasure (or misfortune) of staying in. Only disadvantage is that your girlfriend can't stay there with you.

Was at Venture in 2013/2014. You can 100% live off base with a gf if you wish - ask your CoC for the procedure. If you're at basic now, stop thinking about it. You have more important things to focus on.
