  1. Lost AIC coin

Apparently the coin has changed since my day but you can try here: https://thekitshop.ca/collections/coins
  2. Fallen Comrades (retired members)

I'm not sure if it is a "covid year effect" or something else but it seems that we have lost a disproportionate number of sappers this year. Pete Mushrow left us on Christmas Eve. https://cmea-agmc.ca/cwo-peter-k-mushrow-cd-retd
  3. VAdm Norman - Supply Ship contract: Legal fight

There is a reference to Stephen Harper's waiving of privilege in this article from 18 Dec 2018: https://nationalpost.com/news/politics/witness-at-mark-norman-hearing-alleges-dnd-attempts-to-keep-files-hidden-from-public-view
  4. You know you are military when...

When you pass by a bridge and have to resist the urge to stop and get the measurements to do the demolition calcs. (Mostly a sapper affliction.)
  5. Assault Pioneers & Assault Troopers (engineer light of the Inf & Armd)

I served in the 3 PPCLI BG in Bosnia in 2000. I don't recall you reminding us of that.  ;)
  6. Assault Pioneers & Assault Troopers (engineer light of the Inf & Armd)

Ok. I'm just going to pretend that I didn't read that.  ;D
  7. Politics in 2018

It's not my area of expertise, but this article states 90% of Vancouver's oil comes from AB. http://nationalpost.com/news/canada/how-alberta-could-sow-gas-price-armageddon-in-vancouver

  9. Fates of former armouries

I'm not sure when you were with 3 Fd Sqn but your post brought back some memories from my youth. I would have to look for an image of the actual armoury which I may or may not have (it has been a while ). I do have this shot of building Bailey in the yard on Lees Ave. It was taken around...
  10. Politics in 2018

I am missing nothing. You seem to be the one focusing on costumes as you keep coming back to it. Please re-read the end of my post. I have stated my opinion on the whole fiasco there. The costumes is just a part of it. I simply don't agree that it should be outright dismissed as a distraction.
  11. Politics in 2018

Sigh. I guess I should have provided more detail on my thoughts. I will attempt to rectify that now. In his rebuttal, BG45 claims to be making no comparisons. In order for me to validate his statement “let’s not pretend he was the first PM to dress up”, I have to compare PM Trudeau’s...
  12. Politics in 2018

That is your opinion. I respectfully disagree.
  13. Politics in 2018

Context makes all the difference. In the first image, PM Harper was being honoured by the blood tribe. http://www.cbc.ca/beta/news/canada/calgary/harper-honoured-by-alberta-s-blood-tribe-1.1088181 As for the second image, at the link you will find numerous images of his trip to India. In only...
  14. The Khadr Thread

It's an opinion piece. It's about Charles Adler's opinion. I'm not sure how quoting numerous others would add to the piece. Of course, that's just my opinion.
  15. The Khadr Thread

Shared with the requisite caveats. https://www.theglobeandmail.com///opinion/would-you-apologize-to-omar-khadr/article35579228/?cmpid=rss1&click=sf_globe
  16. Def Min's "Architect" Statements (split fm Walts et. al.)

I found this video on David Akin's Twitter feed. The video was posted in July of 2015. The "architect" statement is made around the 14 minute mark. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h1fWSq0mnXM
  17. LCol (retd) Rod Keller - Sapper6

Sad news indeed. RIP Rod Keller.
