The War Diary : Looking for father

	Please help! I'm looking for my boyfriend's father (he could be dead also). His name is Donald Frederick Barnaby. He was born May 5 in Lange, Saskatchewan (or he lived here for a time). He met a woman in Halifax, Nova Scotia in 1970 and got her pregnant. She had a son (Troy). I would like to know if he has other family members we could get to know. Donald served in Halifax, Nova Scotia when his ship was decommisioned. I can't remember the name of the ship but it was a carrier. Thank you for any and all help.

	This may be a start to your search, or another dead end. The Carrier he would have served on was HMCS Bonaventure. She was decommisioned on June 3, 1970, the last of Canada's carriers. I've never done much research with the Canadian Navy before, so hopefully a nominal role is available. Might be somewere as the "Bonnie" is one of Canada's infamous Naval ship, was the pride of the Navy in her day.
