I completely understand your feelings on this. But just imagine, how Corporal Daniel Gunther's parents felt when the government tried to at first cover up his death and then say it was his fault. If you remember he was killed on June 18, 2021 by an anti-armour rocket. He never received a gala farewell and was killed in the line of duty. Not during a training accident.

Now moving along, we now have a few PPCLI soldiers that the Americans would like to honour with the Bronze Star. My concerns, are why is it taking so long for these individuals to be recognized?!! Where's the Governor-General for these men and why isn't she making a decision to award these gentlemen with a befitting ceremony?!

Of course, she can't do her thing until the PM and/or Eggleton do theirs.

I swear to God, after the next election, if I hear any member of the CF claim they didn't go out and vote for ANYTHING but the Liberals or NDP, I am gonna drop trou and piss on their leg.

I just came back from a short trip to Britain, where they had council elections, including the first mayoral elections for many cities (previously headed merely by council members, not mayors)...

In Hartlepool, they elected a man dressed in a MONKEY SUIT who was formerly the mascot of the Hartlepool football (soccer) team! The FC paid the 500 GBP fee as a publicity stunt ... and he WON! He beat the 27-year veteran Labour councillor who was running for mayor by over 1,000 votes.

They must REALLY be fed up with these cookie-cutter politicians THERE! Sheesh!

Since when does the Governor General set policy regarding the distribution of foreign awards? Patriot, you are really losing it.

Michael,

You are correct, she does not set the policy for the decoration of foreign awards.
Which brings me to this..... why are our own officers not recommending Canadian medals for the men?!

I thought that that was the reason for the delay - a desire to award Canadian medals rather than American? I have no solid source for that, just the newspaper, but it would make some sort of sense.
