Hey everyone.

I was wondering, if reservists were capable of getting the exact same training as a regular force soldier? I read somewhere that it was sixteen weeks long.

They, certainly, can!! All they have to do is transfer to the Reg F!!! Seriously, there are several courses that are the same duration/ intensity/ subject matter content as Reg F. (Infantry wise)RESO phase trg, CFJLC/LFCJNCO,ASAC, and some of the QL 4 courses leap to mind.

I know a few guys who passed through the RCR Battle School. They were and still are reservists, but some extenuating circumstances got them slotted on the Reg QL3...the res have such low budgets that they will avoid sending people on proper courses if only to save money. The res 7 week QL3 inf isn't too bad, except you have to learn so much in a short period of time. It comes fast and furious so be ready.
