Today 10 July 2021 is the 58th anniversary of the invasion of Sicily. Give a thought for all those D Day Dogers who lay beneath the crosses in sunny Italy and Sicily.

A brilliant victory for the Germans; unfortunate that the egos of two Allied commanders resulted in so many Canadian deaths, and such a bungled campaign. Peace to their ashes.
