Perhaps it is wishful thinking on my part to have politicians that know what really is going on in DND and what DND is capable of doing(as opposed to the "spinned" version). I concede the point that all politician are able to discuss the application of military forces, but when they do so without knowledge of that forces' capability, it makes me wonder about his/her common sense.

What confuses me most is that Svend was part of the problem (ie: his party supports the ongoing reduction of the CF and agrees with the great social experimentation going on within DND). Now he is advocating sending in the very troops who previously were the objects of his political distain. What does he really want?

It is my hope that our MPs would take a look at the damage that they inflicted on the CF and accept that our military is not able to project force, nor sustain operations over a long period of time without help from Uncle Sam and or others.

It is time for Mr Robinson and other MPS to make up their minds. Do they want a real army with teeth (and the warts that go with it) or do we want social workers in green?
