T for two, and two for T - T4?

So, here we are on March 2nd - one day after the deadline for RRSP contributions (as if I had any money, anyway ... but it's the principle of the matter that bugs me ...)

For some strange reason, I was expecting that the Army (a federal organisation, after all) would be nice enough to ensure that my T4 slip would have arrived before the RRSP deadline. Ooops! Guess what? I still haven't received it (although I've heard a rumour that they might have arrived on Friday the 26th).

So, I wuz wonderin', eh? What gives? How come the late date? Will anybody be held accountable? (Somehow, I doubt it.) Any other horror stories out there?
