I too have been in a similar situation, where the courses shared the same title but the conduct of the course and the attitudes of the instructors resulted in an unbelievable differentiation in standards. The OC of the school dictated that because a platoon was not at the same level of fitness as another (both started at the same time with a similar distribution of candidates) both platoons must adopt the lower of the two possible LFC fitness standards. For those of you who think a standard means ONE standard for all, it isn't when an OC may re-interpret it in pursuit of the lowest common denominator.

For the originator of this string of posts, don't be discouraged, despite the uneven training available, the army by and large is pretty good at getting motivated soldiers the training they want - even if it isn't on their QL2.
