For the uninformed, what are DEUs?

I recall the days we had Battle Dress (BD), Tropical Worsted (TWs) and the summer combat uniform was called bush (pants, jacket, hat etc.) Both the BD and the bush gear, or a combination of both, were worn both in garrison and in the field. Tws were reserved for garrison employment. About the only thing you could be sure of was that when you made the switch from summer to winter dress or vice versa, the weather would be the exact opposite of what the clothing was designed for.

Looking at the comments about walking out dress must mean the days of being inspected at the main gate to ensure you were in shirt, tie and blazer, are truly gone. Just as well, that didn't last long once out of site of the gate.
