Asthma & the CF (merged thread)

Nic if I can share my experience I got a medical rejection letter that had almost NO info I could draw from, but I just emailed a med tech from the recruiters office and told him what the letter said and he was able to tell me what I needed my doctors to prove for me to get accepted, did you try...

    Questions about joining the Reserves

Hi everyone, I just recently got into the Reserves and I had the chance to talk to some people at my unit. Someone told me that you must be over the age of 18 to deploy on any sort of mission, whether it be in Canada or overseas. However my recruiter told me that even though I was under the age...

    Medically Unfit & Ineligible

Although you could appeal your platelet issue, your eyesight will be the factor that would stop you from getting in. You would have to correct the issue before you can be deemed fit.

    Questions about joining the Reserves

In my opinion the reserves shouldn't be a "trial" sort of thing where you just test the waters out, because you're still in the military.  Reservists are trained to the same standard as reg force and if you're joining  the reserves with the intention of leaving immediately / in the near future...

    BMQ Reserves 2018 - present

Hi there, I just ended up passing my medical exam after submitting an appeal for the reserves, but I didn't get a chance to ask anyone about this, And the medical technician in charge of my file is out of office so I was wondering if anyone here could help me out. Medical Rejection: How to Appeal? [Merged]

Hi there, Yes I initially thought that the appeal would be the second opinion but the signature at the end of my first rejection and my appeal letter seem to be from the same person, I was wondering if there was anyway to directly ask for a different medical officer to review my case?

Medical Rejection: How to Appeal? [Merged]

Hi all, I applied for the primary reserves a while back and got medically rejected, and so I submitted an appeal which included a note and report from my doctor stating that I have been off medications for a while now and that there is an extremely low chance of reoccurrence. However, my appeal...

    Test force femmes

    Questions about joining the Reserves

For me, after a full day of testing which consisted of; First an introduction where they talk about the reserves, the pay, what you do, and the training, they'll allow you to ask questions, then your CFAT will come with a break while the results arrive, then wait for your FORCE test if you...

Two CF members arrested in Petawawa over Cpl Bloggins Facebook page

I know this is an old thread, but can someone explain to me what this Bloggins joke is about? I feel like I'm missing out on something funny here :(.

    Military co-op & Aptitude Test

If I'm not wrong, I think you have to be over 16 to take the CFAT in the first place (don't quote me), so you should really ask your recruiter about that, other than that, there's really no way to get those prior CFAT scores wiped off your record.
