No comments on this, guys? I have to admit, tonight was the first I'd heard of it. Saw Les Peate on the news (he contributes regularly to Espirit de Corps, and is a Korean War vet). Has there been any info on the type of memorial that will be unveiled tomorrow? Kind of a shame so many vets have already passed away. Would be an even bigger shame if we have occassion to fill the cemetery up.

Here's the official site. http://www.dnd.ca/hr/nmc/engraph/home_e.asp quote: the cemetery can accommodate approximately 5,400 graves.
They are going to need more space than that if they keep dropping the standards.

I'm not sure if anyone saw the ceremony. It was on CBC Newsworld and was very nice. The Governor General, MND, CDS, CDS (designate), etc were all there. I was abit surprised the Prime Minister wasn't there. It was unfortunate that the public were not invited and it seemed only military and veterans were in attendance. We have to include the public in this type of event or they forget about us.
