Sadam is rearming, the americans now have a psychopath, gun crazed Texasman as a president who wants to follow the steps of his father too much, should we be expecting a new Gulf War??The americans and brits attacked teh irakies because they were shoting at them and its been intensifying for 6 weeks but since 1990, i dont think any coalition aircraft was shut down, so self defense my ***, if they 've been shooting at them for 10 and got none of them aircrafts, it's not much of a threath then, is it?

You never know! The Israeli/Palestinean thing is happening too. I saw on the news that Palestineans are praising Saddam.

I think GWB is just showing his power in what he claims is "a routine". That is BS. He wants to show Saddam that he isn't afraid or he's doing it for 'ol pops.

There just might be another Gulf War, it is highly possible.

Everyone is mighty quick to put Bush down, or assign him thought patterns that aren't really his. Personally, I tend to give him the benefit of the doubt.

I like Bush's conservative ideas; why we haven't hanged Karla Homolka from the neck until she was dead is beyond me. I don't think support of the death penalty is enough to label someone a psychopath.

And seeing as how many of the residents of this board are law abiding gun owners (guess which ones they are, Mud Crawler - and if you can guess which one taught me my firearms course, you get an extra cookie). Gun owners are no more likely to be psychopaths than anyone else; less likely in Canada, in fact, since those applying for gun ownership go through a rigorous background check that would make the NKVD blush. Psychos and guns are a bad mix, which is why the government goes to such pains to seperate that two. There are actually one or two states in the 48 that take similar precautions.

While I can generally make allowances for abysmal spelling, grammar, and sentence construction (and find myself doing so on a regular basis on this board), I really can't see any justification for your mammoth leaps of "logic."

And even if "we" did have another Gulf War on our hands, rest assured Canadian troops would see as much (or as little) part in it as the last one. We still had considerable resources in Europe last time out IIRC, at least in comparison to our overstretched resources now.

When the last Gulf War was on, our RSM pulled us onto the Armouries floor one Wednesday night and laid it out plain.

"I'm sick of your moms phoning me and crying, so stop bragging to everyone you're going over there to fight. You're not f***ing going ANYWHERE."

Or words to that effect.

I don't say he's a psychotpath because he's a gun owner.I would like to own a hand-gun for target shooting and maybe even competition and I don't believe I'm a psychopath. As for the gulf war, what effect would the fact that our troops are spread thin and wide?Except bigger cost to put together a fighting force.Would that expeditionnary force be equipped with cad desr pat desert. I have a question also conserning equipment. Could I personnaly buy a reflex sight to replace the ELCAN, like a C-More or a Trijicon.Could i also buy a desert pattern piece of clothe made especially to cover the butt and teh place you put your weak hand, i forgot teh name???Is this allowed???
Thanks again

Mud Crawler--Recognize this?

Please make up my mind what it is you are trying to say! there is a desert cadpat in development/ production, but seeing all the problems with issue of Goretex kit and Cadpat, you ,probably wouldn't see it for a few years. If you have the money to buy a different sight for a C7, good for you. If you place it on a issue service rifle , you can be charged, with illegally modifying your weapon. You can buy desert pattern cloth( US) on the retail market, (CDN stuff just isn't available yet!) and you, PROBABLY, could put it on your rifle. (until some sharp eyed Mcpl sorted you out!) Why woory about it, unless, you are going someplace no one else knows about?

If the gulf war was to start we would never go over because it would mean mobilizing the entire reserves, which means every1 is a war vet, which means more money the gov. has to dish out to a new breed of vets that will never die out for another 60 yrs, sad but true.

Just Heard on the news today that Iraqies are sending lots of troops to help the Palistinians, and I think everybody knows the U.S relationship with the Israelis (good) and their relationship with Iraq (bad), this might get dangerous.
