Alot has changed. I remember the first summer after Ipperwash closed and they moved the camp to Blackdown park. What a mess. Now that place looks like a resort. That first summer, we paraded on a huge field by the range road. We had three shower stalls for a company of 150 odd kids. The bonus, we fired the FN C1 the whole 6 weeks.

Which companys were you in? I was in Kilo this past summer (Basic P&D;). I remember going to that stupid Quarantine because of stupid lice scares.

Right after I got out, we went to the confidence course - that was really fun! Almost everyone fell into the water!!!

I am looking forward to this summer!

I'm going to Borden this weekend for shooting. While were there we are going to be using .22 rifles however we normally only use .177 air rifles, I was just wondering if you guys can tell me the differences between them (like their characteristics). Also I think i'm going to borden this summer for camp however I joined cadets late (this is my first year) so there is a very slim chance I wont go, maybe i can share some stories later.

Well, the Lee Enfield No.7 is alot heavier! It also is using real "bullets", so they can have a kick (if you are small).

I was just in a .22 shooting comp recently and if you are using another corps' rifles, don't trust the sites! Also, if you don't have experience with the rifle and the sites are off, adjust your aiming point so that the round will hit the bull (application firing only). eg. The round hits high right, aim low left; approximately the same distance.

If you are shooting grouping, don't worry about where the rounds hit, worry about getting them together. Breathing is very important for this.

I hope these tips work!

Thanks,
Your tips worked, I know what you mean, "work on your breathing," I got a speech from the Warrent about it, All my shots were about an inch hight of the targets ( out of about 50 rounds!) he said it was either breathing or the sights were off.
