I agree with you - better to ship the aid over there than maroon those poor people in a distant country where no one speaks there language. Even better still, an effort should be made to kill the SOBs in power over there so these people can live in their own homeland.

And how exactly would we move 100,000 people over to Canada even if we wanted to? Our aging air transport fleet? Canadian Airlines? The logistics of it seem a little harsh.
