Hey, let's not bring up the Garrison dress thing again. Let's leave it buried exactly where it belongs and concentrate on getting the kit that we really need. Namely the field kit. Some "clothes the soldier" and even TCCCS is actually getting out there but soldiers are still only getting the good stuff when they deploy. Climates in Bosnia are not unlike the extremes we experience here and why should we not train with the actual kit now rather learn and adapt when you should be concentrating on the mission.
Back to the initial atricle...Yes well written and we in the schools would like to know as well what we should be trg our soldiers for. In the end it will be their/our lives that hang in the balance. Once the shit has hit the fan it will be too late to say "We should have trained for that instead"
I do seem to recall that one of the principles of War was FORESIGHT. But like much of our doctrine, it pays good lip service.
So when will we really learn from our past so as not to repeat the past???
