Well written! I maintain the opinion that there is a need for a new White Paper on Defence that hopefully will provide some concrete direction for the CF in the new century. I expect that the politicians are avoiding the White Paper issue because it would give the military justification for funding or for actually using the military for the purpose for which it was designed.

As for the reserve restructure, I agree with you. How do you conduct a restructure that is designed to compliment the regular army when you don't know what the regular army is going to do in the future?

Implementing LFRR will be like shooting pool with a rope. The money would be better spent on a new uniform - how about a garrison dress uniform?
