I'm not going to qualify this guys stuff but I have been to
Gagetown and enjoy climing. I spent the summer of 1996
in Gagetown as an augmentee for Phase Courses. I was able
to climb at the indoor rock wall in the gym Mon, Tues,
Wed, Fri, and some weekends. South of the main base on the
highway is Wellsford. It's a 4 Km wide multi pitch
climbing area that ranges in difficulty from 5.4 to 5.12.
No word of a lie. I spent almost 11 consecutive weekends climbing
there and it is world class. I've climbed in Mexico, The
States, Australia and Europe. No, Wellsford is not like
the Rockies but it offers some of the most challenging
climbs I've attempted. Most of the climbing I do is in
Southern Ontario on the Niagara Escarpment.
This doesn't say that this guy is being totally honest
in his resume but I will stand up for the quality of
climbing in New Brunswick. Questions?
