I just finished reading about the (potential) sabotage of Aurora aircraft in Halifax (CFB Greenwood).
The rumour is already starting to spread that this was done by picketers, irate that work was being contracted out under the guise of ASD.
Hmmm ... so we're sending patrols out over the Atlantic Ocean, and the people maintaining the aircraft are involved in some sort of labour dispute.
Hmmm ... you know what? Suddenly I'm much more in favour of keeping mechanics in uniform (and, to tell the truth, I've always thought it makes more sense to have fellow soldiers fixing our equipment - at least we're all on the same team).
