Now that you mention it, I seem to recall that the officers refer to it as a 'Colour Party' while most of the SrNCO's refer to it as a 'Guard'. I know that when the older CSM's tell me it's a 'Guard' I take no exception. When the CO calls for the Colours does he refer to them as a Guard or a Party?
