I also would like to make a note along with what Mr. Bossi was saying.

It seems pretty common of many young Canadians without a feel of military life to always want to join anything else but the 'Canadian Forces' and it seems that in the end many of those individuals drop the hammer even before six weeks of basic training is through. Not implying anything on your part, but Like Jules said I would say your best bet would be to give the reserves a try to get a feel for military life if you so desire to take up being a mercenary(which in my opinion is exactly what your are doing)

Finally ask yourself this:
Why would you want to die defending a country that theoretically dosent give a rats ass about you?

When someone from Canada says they want to become an American citizen, or any country for that matter to join a different army it shows to me they dont have any idea about Canada's heritage, military history, or what the Canadian Forces has to offer in a whole. We unlike many countries have rather strict rules to enlist..and in closing

we do that for a reason!
