You're right, the 3.2 Km "march" had to be done at a run in order to pass. Actually, the first year that "Warrior" went national, units had the option of doing the 3.2 or the 13 Km march. Most opted for the 3.2, at least in my brigade, although my unit did the 13 Km.

BMI (Body Mass Index) was a forces wide medical test for obesity. I do not know why it was dropped, although I seem to recall that it had something to do with a discrimination complaint. There were provisions for the muscular folks to have thier body fat measured by calipers if their BMI was over the limit. These people were termed High BMI due to Lean Body Mass, and passed the medical.
