The Canadian Forces Recruit School at St. Jean, Quebec, runs courses which are filled primarily with candidates all destined for the same trade. Basically, you have to wait until they form one of the next infantry recruit courses. They do this so that all the graduates continue on to the appropriate Training Centre and form a training platoon there. So, you either wait now (which costs the military nothing), or you wait at the Training Cemntre for enough Recruit School graduates to form a platoon. And believe me, you don't want to be lingering about at the training centres. ;)

Other factors influencing the wait include the preplanned scheduling and staff availability at the Recruit School. Planning, however, should be far enough along that the Recruiting Centre should be able to tell you when the next course is supposed to start.
