I'm afraid that I'll have to disagree. The maple leaf
with a sword and the motto "DUCIMUS" has been used by
the Infantry School for at least 25 years. It is not
worn as a cap badge but I have seen it worn as a pin
over the name tag on the uniform of staff there. There
is an image of the Infantry School flag on Chris Pinette's
CF flag site at http://www.dallas.net/~cpinette/flags/canmil.html
which shows the badge clearly.

You are correct in that the Infantry Branch (sadly the
Corps ceased to officially exist on unification)
cap badge is only worn by Officer Cadets who have not
yet received their regimental affiliation at the School.
Staff wear the insignia of their own regiments.
Likewise at the Area Battle Schools, although I believe
that the "candidates" there wear the CF cap badge
until they qualify as Infantry.
