Vic, to add to my earlier post, the following are the Regina Rifle's Battle
Honours for the Second World War. I have added the dates from the Canadian
Army Order listing eligible battles abd engagements.
Normandy Landing (6 Jun 44)
Bretteville-l'Orgeuilleuse (8-9 Jun 44)
Caen (4-18 Jul 44)
The Orne (8-9 Jul 44)
Bourguebus Ridge (18-23 Jul 44)
Faubourg de Vaucelles (18-19 Jul 44)
Falaise (7-22 Aug 44)
The Laison (14-17 Aug 44)
The Seine, 1944 (25-28 Aug 44)
Calais, 1944 (25 Sep - 1 Oct 44)
The Scheldt (1 Oct - 8 Nov 44)
Leopold Canal (6-16 Oct 44)
Breskins Pocket (11 Oct  - 3 Nov 44)
The Rhineland (8 Feb - 10 Mar 45)
Waal Flats (8-15 Feb 45)
Moyland Wood (14-21 Feb 45)
The Rhine (23 Mar - 1 Apr 45)
Emmerich-Hoch Elten (28 Mar - 1 Apr 45)
Deventer (8-11 Apr 45)
North-West Europe, 1944-1945 (6 Jun 44 - 5 May 45)
In accordance with Canadian Army Orders (Issue No 508, 10 Sep 56), these
Battles Honours were selected by the Regiment based on the following criteria:
"As battle honour will not be awarded merely because a unit was present in
an operation. To qualify, the unit must:
(a) have been committed in the locality and within the time limits laid
down for one of the individual operations defiend below [in an accompanying
table];
(b)  have been actively engaged with enemy ground troops;
(c)  have taken a creditable part in the operations;
(d) be proud of its part in the operation."
The Regiment's Battle Honours, therefore, provide a list of the Regiment's
most significant actions during the war. They do not necessarily comprise a
complete listing of the engagements in which the unit was engaged.
