I do not have personal knowledge of that designation. Are you refering to the 9 x 19 Luger cartridge? There are also the Glisenti, the Bayard Long, the Steyr, the Browning Long and the Russian Makarov cartridges that all are classified as 9mm rounds.

After reviewing your question, are you referring to a type of weapon? The P9, I believe, is a designation for a Springfield Armoury 'copy' handgun that resembles a CZ 75. I could be wrong (it's been known to happen more than a few times!).
