Speaking purely from experience (only ten months ago), for whatever that is worth... the regulations state that top-up to EI benefits will be provided for 119 days (4 months), at which time the member can either return to work or take the parental leave of 10 weeks, with EI providing the only benefit.
Having a vested interest in this issue, I am sure I got all monies owing to me and those last 10 weeks were minus the military top-up.
