In the 1st Brigade in England the three regiments all had nick names. They where originally ment to be derisive.
48th Highlanders were know as the "Glamour Boys" because of the blue puttees they wore.
The RCR where the "Pukhas" because they were P.F.
The Hasty Ps because of there rural location were the "Plough Jockeys".
