Re Regtl Nos.
Having served in WW2 and Regular Force, and having enlisted in London both times, my Regtl No began with A. However my Regular Force service began with Special Force, therefore the Depot letter, in this case 'A', was preceded by S, thus SA. As far as I know, all Special Force Nos were in the 800,000 series, e.g SA800123 or SB800123. S was not used in any number in my service from 1950 to 1974
