Although you might be excused your youthful exuberance, perhaps you should examine your values very carefully before becoming a Legionnaire (which some would say is paramount to becoming a mercenary).
If you're open to suggestions, how about this: Before re-locating yourself halfway across the world, perhaps you should find out if YOU'RE good enough, first. I know a few who were convinced that the Canadian Army would only be a stepping stone to "bigger and better things" (e.g. USMC, Commandoes), but liked it so much they stayed in.
