Perhaps my point was misunderstood. I simply meant that soome people had put there butts on the line. Others get a medal for sticking around long enough. Case in point. A soldier that fought in the Aleutians with a CANAM force and later went through D-Day an on through eurpoe never got the 39-45 Star because the pacific time could not be counted. To add insult to injury the Gov't pf the day refused the US offer of a decoration. While if you were in NFLD long enough you did get the 39-45 Star. I meant no disrespect. I simply meant that if you earned yours hard or easy you should be able to where them and walk proud. What is frightening Capt is that you missread what i thought was a pretty simple message. By the way i do apologize for all the spelling mistakes in that post. I was damned tired.
