MWG, For at least the past three to four years we have DAGed all of our soldiers before they arrived at a unit. Basically the DAG consisted of such things are pl comd interview and recommendation, dental insp, confirmation that their medicals and ID cards are up to date, 404s and 416s good to go, all soldiers are complete Warrior, regular paraders, etc. Basically they have a DAG sheet and move throughout the unit. The one area where we have been weak if PT standards. Presently we have no PT test. Every now and then one slips through the cracks.

Also, recently the soldiers in LFAA had to attend a Pre-DAG in Gagetown a couple of months prior to beginning trg with 2RCR and 5 Svc Bn. A number of soldiers were deemed unfit from this DAG. These Pre-DAGs have also occurred for several years. Someone who attended on first hand may be able to provide some more info.
