All ex Caets should be proud of their Cadet service. Some of your (future) peers will demean your service, but the smart recruiters will use it as part of the selection criteria if they are over their quota.
Your Cadet experience is required information to be included in your enrolment documentation. So, your gaining unit will learn about your Cadet service sooner of later. Some Cadet Corps train with their affiliated units and put Cadets on some of their courses - ie: Arty Communicator Course. This is training is taken into account if those Cadets join the affliated militia unit.
Be proud - your Cadet time is a an advantage. Use it.
