You know, the story I got was that the 226 was taken on by the MP's specificly for women MP's because the rounds stack strait, therefore the grip doesn't have to be as wide, for smaller hands. I fired the P-226 some time ago as it was ok. A pistol is a pistol is a pistol. A skilled operator can use ay pistol with sucess. The Hi-power however is a battle proven weapon. The first of its kind, actually. All pistols of thist type were designed with the Hi-power's general features in mind(except for things like decock levers!) It is an outstanding pistol if properley maintained, as with anything.
