Once all firearms are registered it becomes very easy to limit sales of ammo for example.
Say you don't register a .30 cal rifle, and then show up at Canadain Tire to buy ammo.
They swipe your Driver's Licence/Health Card/SIN/Firearms Ownership Card
much the same as a credit card, and reject you because you haven't registered your .30 cal,
from there an administrative alert tells the Federal watch-dog you attempted to purchase ammo
for a possible unregistered weapon, and you get a knock at your door from the cops with a
warrant. Impossible? No! Terrifying for your family, yes.
Also, any time the cops have any reason to come to your house, they'll check the computer
records to see what weapons you have, and then come in as the SWAT team if you do have
any. Not a problem you say, what if it's your kids having a party that's too loud for the neighbours,
when you're out of town? Do you feel comfortable that all those underage kids will conduct themselves
appropriately and that no sudden noises/moves will result in a tragedy? Wake up.
