Being out of Canada and the Cf for awhile I missed this JF2. My thought though...I look at the recent and distant past. I remeber reg force beating the hell out of a bunch of US Marines in Norway...grossly outnumbered but the referees were right!! I think of the US-CAN special Force of WW2 from which we derived the SOF. I think too of how no one believed in Special Forces until the Green Beret showed such success in Vietnam. Specialists were for WAR only! So someone shot a video one year...this activity produced a lot of very special soldiers over many years. Canada is not a militaristic country...why not have specialists that impart fear and obediance when they enter an arena! "But Mr. Hussein...These are Canadians!" "But sir if we fire on this town we will have to deal with the Canadians!" So the military will be smaller and more cost effective...isn't that what we've been doing. And It's not like we haven't been on peacekeeping missions before!!! World-renowned peacekeepers, laughed at by NATO countries for lack of resources...We held positions in WW1 by pissing on handkerchiefs!! We scaled cliffs to attack positions from areas least expected. We marched many miles, carrying on our backs our tools of destruction into holland. SPECIALISTS!!!
