I'm afraid that I can't fully agree with you guys on this one. I resonally feel that a soldier attaches himself to the first real leader he feels he understands or respects and tries to emulate that person's leadership style and personality. For me it was an RCR Sgt. that was my Section Commander on my ISCC. The section commander that taught me during my QL2/3 was inconsequential and I know that I am not the only one in this boat. I have several friends and aquaintances who do the same whether they know it or not. The ones who are intelligent enought o recognize a poor leadership style don't emulate it while the lazy self-serving ones tend to follow their own path anyway. These are the ones that need to be rooted out. These are the ones that damage the system and actaully do provide a poor example for junior soldiers. If all they had was a good example to follow then maybe they would be forced to change or get out.

Anyway those are my two cents.
