I agree with Don for a number of reasons.

Unless they've changed the rules, a person can be released from the Canadian Forces for "Irregular Enrolment" (basically, for not telling the truth and the whole truth).

Additionally, if you re-injure your knee and they find out about the pre-existing condition, you can kiss your pension goodbye (right now, this may not seem important, but if you end up with only one good knee for the rest of your life, it would seem more important then ...)

Also, if you have to lie or bend the truth to get into the military, what does that say about your ethics? (Hint - it doesn't reflect well upon you).

There is a U.S. Navy saying about "... doing the right thing when nobody else is around."

Bottom line: Don't "obey" our suggestions. Make your own decision, and make the right decision - you are the only one who will have to live with the consequences of your actions (if you further damage your knee, none of us will limp or feel the pain).
