If you haven't heard, or seen the new combats, try to find the issue of the Maple Leaf (CF publication) which descibes the changes they are making to the combats other than the new pattern. One item you will NOT supposidly find on the new combats is SANDTRAPS. Why? Well my guess is because the combats were probably designed by those "useful" (i wish you could hear my sarcasm) people in NDHQ who have never seen the field since their GMK. And therefore have no need for sandtraps. I might be wrong but i doubt it. Personally i love sandtraps and they are a definate benefit and advantage to any soldier who has to spend time in field conditions.
