I am seeking information on the Gallantry Award introduced by General Baden-Powell for the South African Constabulary circa 1901.
The only records I have found are in Baden-Powell's "Lessons From The Varsity Of Life" and Tim Jeal's "Baden-Powell". How many were issued.
Was this Award worn as a medal or badge. What regulations governed its issue.Could it be issued to all ranks. Was it equivalent to other awards i.e.D.S.O. or D.C.M.
Any assistance on this or the S.A.C. generally, most welcome. Regards. Don.W.Pedler
