Central Militia Area (CMA) which was the precursor to the present LFCA created a course in the late eighties called the Commando Leader's Course. It was advertised via a poster distributed to all reserve units in the area. Candidates who completed the course were awarded a special badge to wear on their uniforms (this was before the qualification badges worn now came into being). I beleive the badge was a bayonet. It was open to Senior NCOs and Junior Officers.

Only one serial of the course was run. It took place in Meaford (obviously before Meaford was turned into the Shangri-la that it is now). Essentially it was a very physically demanding patrol leaders course. Most candidates did not complete the course due to physical reasons, and a few as training failures. Only a couple of people actually completed it.
