I am sure that our troops would be more than able to fight and survive in high intensity operations given a reasonable number of troops and the equipment to conduct such operations.

In response to your question about a company against a mech force, the military has a number of tactical simulators that provide commanders at all levels with answer to questions such as yours. The outcomes of these microchip wars vary and are dependent upon the variables (terrain, weather, level of conflict, combat supplies, etc) fed into the database, the commanders ability and the effectiveness of his personnel. So, your company may be quite successful or it may be wiped out - it will depend upon the situation and your commanders) reaction to the changing situation.

I that know that there are arguments for and against simulators, but simulation is as about as close to a justified (supposing no finger hockey with the database) answer you will get outside of trying out the real thing.
